| SGD implement a huge specification of fire and security systems at Hotel Indigo in Cardiff's city centre. |

|
| Launched back in 2004, the 'Hotel Indigo' brand of hotels quickly became a great success story for industry giants Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG). With great backing from local government, IHG set their eyes on Cardiff for their next venture and introduced in 2012 a new location on popular Queen Street in the heart of Cardiff City Centre. Five years on, Cardiff’s own Hotel Indigo was opened to the public featuring 122 beautifully decorated bedrooms highlighting three recurring themes representing Welsh and Cardiff culture; Made in Wales, Welsh Industry and Music. |

| Managed by the Kier Group, the conversion project saw the complete refurbishment of the former Dominion House offices. SGD were introduced to the project through contractors Evans Electrical, who required a bespoke solution for the project. |
The proposed plans provided a complete end-to-end solution for the buildings fire and security measures, ensuring no point of weakness in how the building handles fire risk and un-authorised access. With thousands of devices required to cover the building, our team set about implementing a dedicated security IT network and began the task of installing over 1000 devices for the Networked Gent fire system alone. To follow was a 40 camera surveillance system utilising products from industry-leader Hikvision, an Assa Abloy VingCard access control system with 150 access controlled doors, custom managed D Link network and Honeywell galaxy intruder alarm system.
Following the final completion and successful handover in November 2017, SGD continue to support Hotel Indigo in Cardiff with ongoing maintenance to their fire and security systems. Sister company ADC Fire are responsible for the fire alarm maintenance, SGD Security maintain the security systems, whilst SGD Guarding also provide ongoing guarding services. |
